Afinia L901 Ink Cartridges

The Afinia L901 Memjet colour label printer comes in two models, both of which use different L901 ink cartridges. Both the Afinia L901 and the L901 Plus use high capacity (250ml) ink tanks and individual colors (CMYKK) for a total capacity of 1.25 liters of ink on board.

Afinia L901 Ink Cartridges

The standard model of the L901 uses VersaPass DG inks which are dye-based and produce vibrant colours. This model is commonly used to print “prime” labels, which need to look amazing.

Afinia L901 Plus Ink Cartridges

The Afinia L901 Plus Memjet colour label printer uses VersaPass DN inks, which offer better water and UV resistance. Afinia Label calls these inks “Watershield™” water-resistant ink. Labels printed on the L901 Plus are great for chilled beverages, chemical products, and pharmaceuticals as the inks are more durable and resistant.

Having extra Afinia L901 ink cartridges on hand for large production runs is smart.
